Subject: Nature's Notebook training July 17th

Hello Friends- please help me share the opportunity below...

The Rio Grande Phenology Trail connects like-minded organizations through a shared community project. It encourages people to engage in active, outdoor education, and ask and answer local science, management and climate questions. Phenology, the timing of life cycle events in plants and animals, is easy to observe and fun too!
Partner organizations currently include:
1. Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge (
2. ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden (
3. Santa Fe Botanical Garden (

Workshop Opportunity: The Santa Fe Botanical Garden is hosting a phenology training for the Rio Grande Phenology Trail on Thursday, July 17th at 1:30-4:30pm at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden's beautiful Lonora Curtin Wetlands Preserve. This training workshop will teach you how to collect phenology observations so that you can participate in monitoring at any of the locations on the Rio Grande Phenology Trail. We will cover the following topics:
1. The importance of phenology: the timing of life cycle events in plants and animals
2. How to use Nature's Notebook to collect phenology information in the field
3. How to enter your observations on the Nature's Notebook website
