The Bosque Ecosystem Monitoring Program (BEMP) will be hosting a free event to discuss environmental justice and water quality in our community. We will be meeting in the north parking area of the National Hispanic Cultural Center (near Pop Fizz). Participants will walk the route of stormwater runoff starting in the parking area and making their way to the Rio Grande. Along the way we will pick up trash and if time permits, we will make an art project with trash. Once we reach the river, we will do some basic water testing to gauge the health of the river.
All ages welcome! We will be walking into the bosque so please come prepared to be outside.
