Celebrate National Public Lands Day at Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge’s Build Your Refuge Day Saturday, September, 28th 10 AM-2 PM, 7851 2nd St. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. Learn about the new ABQ Backyard Refuge Program, participate in hands-on habitat restoration in the refuge’s first wetlands, attend outdoor workshops on gardening for wildlife, and more! All activities are free and family friendly. Water, a hat and closed-toed shoes are recommended. Also, enjoy kids activities, live music, hay ride tours, and food trucks.
