Star Party at Valle de Oro NWR – Friday, March 8th

Join Valle de Oro NWR and The Albuquerque Astronomical Society for the Refuge’s first ever star party!
Join us on Friday, March 8th from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm, for a free and family friendly night of stargazing, constellation tours, and a presentation about Dark Skies and ways to prevent light pollution
The Albuquerque Astronomical Society (TAAS) will provide excellent interpreters, viewing equipment, hot cocoa and snacks.
Flashlights will be at the event, but will not be rented out to individuals, so if you think you will need a flashlight please bring your own. Please check the weather and wear appropriate clothing and check the Valle de Oro NWR Facebook page for weather updates and potential cancellations.
We hope to see you there – there is no need to RSVP! Follow signs to the outdoor classroom when you arrive.
