Join us for a ranger-led activity, arts and crafts, and fun for the whole Family! Free refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Valle de Oro.
Celebrate the season with a story, related activity, and explorations around the refuge. Perfect for ages 7-10.
If you're feeling stuck with the application process, bring pictures of your yard and join us for the January 25th & February 15th Backyard Habitat Chats at Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge from 10am to noon. We'll have staff and volunteers on hand to guide you through the process, and you can pick up your sign and stickers that day!
Talk with our team members and local partners to learn about all that is happening to transform Valle de Oro during this free open house. Food will be served by the Friends of Valle de Oro.
Did you know that you own over 23 million acres of public land in New Mexico? Join Ranger Dakota for a talk about New Mexico's amazingly diverse public lands and get some inspiration and information to plan your next adventure.
Bring your furry friends to learn about our pet policies on the refuge and take the pledge to be apart of the program. All dogs required to be on 6ft non-retractable leash and non-reactive around others.

Interested in helping others explore Valle de Oro? Consider becoming an electric shuttle driver volunteer! All shuttle driver volunteers must complete this orientation and have a valid drivers' license. Send an email to Ranger Dakota at dakota_dominguez@fws.gov to sign up.
