Help make winter magic with us on the trails at Valle de Oro! We will be setting up 1,000 paper luminarias and we need your help! Join us to participate in this special New Mexico tradition. To RSVP, email dakota_dominguez@fws.gov

Enjoy luminarias around the visitor center and watch the stars with The Albuquerque Astronomical Society. Free refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Valle de Oro.

Help us clean up after a magical luminaria night! We'll be picking up and disassembling 1,000 paper luminarias. Coffee and breakfast burritos will be provided by the Friends of Valle de Oro to help fuel volunteers! Space is limited, please RSVP by emailing dakota_dominguez@fws.gov

Valle de Oro NWR invites photographers of all ages & skill levels to enter the 2025 contest by submitting images that highlight the beauty of the refuge's wildlife, landscapes, and visitors.
