Bring your furry friends to learn about our pet policies on the refuge and take the pledge to be a part of our BARK Ranger program. All dogs are required to be on leash and non-reactive around others.

Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge invites photographers of all ages and skill levels to enter the 2024 contest by submitting images that highlight the beauty of the refuge's wildlife, landscapes, and visitors. If you're feeling stuck with the application process, bring pictures of your yard and join us for the January 25th & February 15th Backyard Habitat Chats at Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge from 10am to noon. We'll have staff and volunteers on hand to guide you through the process, and you can pick up your sign and stickers that day!
