Saturday September 28th from 8-9am there will be a community clean-up event in preparation for the annual Harvest Festival at the Mountain View Community Garden (117 North St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87117). Bring your furry friends to learn about our pet policies on the refuge and take the pledge to be a part of our BARK Ranger program. All dogs are required to be on leash and non-reactive around others.

Join us for a ranger-led activity, arts and crafts, and fun for the whole family. Free food will be provided by the Friends of Valle de Oro.

A creative writing workshop led by local author Anthony Fleg. All ages are welcome! The author will be signing his book "Writing to Heal: A Pandemic Journey to Healing."

Join us at the Valle de Oro NWR Visitor Center to talk about autumn yard care and preparing your refuge for winter. If you have not yet certified your space as a backyard refuge, this is also an opportunity to complete your application. Bring pictures of your space!
